Sadly this was the first thing I said to my Psychologist 5 years ago.
“I cant remember the last time I was happy”
And I genuinely couldn’t remember the last time I was it was such a distant memory.
I was happy in my life, things were going great, the craic was good, I was out a lot, drinking plenty and I enjoyed it.
But then the same fulfilment I was getting from all of these things started to fade away.
Looking back now its easy to see what the problem was, I was starting to change as a person but I was fighting with that for so long that I was resisting who I was going to become.
There’s a lot of you out there feeling the same way and I want to make sure you know what’s happening and what to do about it.
You are simply starting to change and although that change is terrifying, you’ve got to go with it because it’s going to make you a bigger and better person.
You’ve got to find new things that will make you happy and fulfilled and through those new things you’ll find who you are and what you are here for.
Fighting that changing process is the worst thing you can do and the longer you do the more unhappy you’ll get.
Think about some things you aren’t open to or haven’t done that you have been thinking about and start doing those things.
They are what will help you move forward in your life again and most important they are what will bring you happiness back.
